Description
This course critically examines leadership, teamwork, communication, and the history and contributions of women in sport from both a national and global perspective. Students will explore the multifaceted experiences of women in sport, focusing on topics such as Title IX, gender equity and sexuality, race, and media representation. Students will analyze key events, policies, and media portrayals that have shaped the role of women in sports, and investigate how these elements have impacted opportunities, perceptions, and overall advancement in the field.
