This course is designed to satisfy one three hundred (300) hour required field practicum dedicated to experiential learning. Within the MA Counseling Psychology students, students will complete this course twice to satisfy the total practicum requirements required for degree conferral. This supervised experiential learning opportunity will provide the student with necessary exposure to and practice in a professional setting within which the student will have the opportunity to acquire skills related to the daily functions typical of a practitioner within the field. The student will apply for placement in a pre-approved service setting. The placement will be monitored by faculty in the MA Counseling Psychology program as well as a dedicated professional within the placement site who will supervise and evaluate the student throughout the practicum experience. In addition, the student will develop valuable self-awareness regarding their professional development, ability, and path. Exposure to diverse clientele, settings, and situations will allow the student the opportunity to integrate formal training, professional ambition, theory and practice thus better preparing them for eventual entrance into the field.Prerequisites: PSY610, PSY623, PSY631
