Description

This course provides an opportunity for students to gain valuable industry experience and apply their knowledge of business practices. The course consists of an academic component, which includes a series of progress reports designed to state their professional marketing experience and how that experience relates to their current GBC Marketing curriculum. Also, students complete a final report at the end of the semester. Instruction will be given to creating this report, which will be used to guide and evaluate success. In addition to the academic component, an experiential component includes professional marketing experience and self-reflection on "having/doing" this experience. Students will be representing GBC in the community. Therefore, while in the field, all GBC rules and policies will apply in addition to the specific intern policy guidelines.

The Capstone Internship I can be arranged through the participating faculty or can also be arranged independently by the student (wit
