The course provides an understanding of the tools and develops practical skills for developing a variety of business applications over the Internet. In addition to acquiring basic skills for navigating the Internet and creating a personal electronic presence on the Web, the students will develop an understanding of the current practices and opportunities in e-banking, e-commerce, e-publishing and e-advertising, electronic shopping and distribution, e-marketing, social networking and more. The course also explores several of the problems surrounding e-business applications such as security and ethics.Prerequisite(s): IT 353
