Description
A focus on the organization and structure of operating systems for various modes of computer use from simple batch systems to multiprocessing time-sharing and distributed systems. Students will be introduced to process concept, storage management, virtual memory organization, job scheduling, deadlocks, file system and management, security issues, UNIX operation system and programming.
Prerequisite: Completion of CIS 254 with a grade of 70% or higher is required.
