If you are looking to host a company meeting, retreat, sports or other camps, summer resident events, large conference, smaller luncheons, or private parties, Goldey-Beacom has unique and updated spaces to offer. Whether you need a conference room, classroom, or multipurpose space, we can accommodate your requests.

GBC prides itself on being a one-stop shop for all conference needs. From the room or venue rental to media service needs, and catering, we are happy to help you plan your event. Catering can be provided by our Metz Culinary Management. 

The GBC Event Center is equipped with overhead lighting, projector, projection screens, Zoom TV and internet access. Accommodations can be made for groups of 10-250 people through a variety of set-ups. 

The Event Center Lobby is the perfect place for networking events, hors d'oeuvres, and pre-meeting displays.  With floor to ceiling windows, beautiful lighting and wi-fi, the Event Center Lobby serves as a great spot for coffee and refreshment breaks.

Nancy Churchman Sawin Field

Nancy Churchman Sawin Field is a beautiful Bermuda grass soccer facility at the base of a hill in the back of campus, and home to our Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams. The facility has seating for roughly 200 in the sideline bleachers… but many people park in the parking lot at the top of the hill and watch from their tailgate, which increases the seating capacity to roughly 1,000 and creates a great view of the action! The field sits adjacent to the rear entrance to the Jones Center which houses six locker rooms (four of which were built in 2020), the Athletic Training Room, the Gymnasium, the Fitness Center, and the state-of-the-art Cafeteria which was also built in 2020.

Jackson Athletic Complex

The Jackson Athletic Complex is home to Lightning Softball. This is a newly renovated venue that includes two brand new dugouts as well as new fencing, scoreboard, windscreen, press box, batting cage, and bullpens. There is bleacher seating for about 100 people, but spectators often bring their own chairs and there is plenty of space for that!

Jones Center Gymnasium

The Jones Center Gymnasium is the center of the action for GBC Athletics, playing home to our Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams and Women’s Volleyball team. The facility also holds one full and one partial batting cage for baseball/softball practices and clinics. There is bleacher seating for roughly 700 spectators, as well as a balcony for standing room that overlooks the court. The Gymnasium shares a building with six locker rooms (four of which were built in 2020), the Athletic Training Room, the Gymnasium, the Fitness Center, and the state-of-the-art Cafeteria which was also built in 2020.

Each classroom is equipped with whiteboard, a Zoom TV and Wi-fi.  Classroom capacities vary from 25-55 seats. Perfect for conference break-out rooms or hybrid meetings. 

During the summer months, we not only offer meeting and recreational spaces on campus, but also updated, air-conditioned rooms in the recently completed Franta Hall and our newly renovated dining facilities.  We are a perfect location to host a camp or overnight conference.
