Description
This course will focus on selected major schools of ethical thought, including egoism and utilitarianism, as well as virtue- and duty-based theories. Students will be encouraged to gain an awareness of the moral dimension of their own lives as they explore such topics as justice, rights, responsibility, authority, punishment, and the good life, amidst the emergence of generative AI and its challenge to ideas of what is valuable about humanity.
