Description

This course provides an overview of leadership. Students will be provided with theoretical information on leadership, from a general definition to the different styles and types of leadership that either have been used historically, are presently being used and those that may be used in the future. Case studies will be used to identify organizational needs for different leadership styles and types of leaders. From studying the theory of leadership students will survey, evaluate and define leadership, the role of leaders and the future of leadership. Students will be asked to examine the requisite skills and knowledge sets associated with effective organizational leadership as well as study individual leaders.
