Study and practice of critical reading across genres. The course emphasizes close reading strategies, rhetorical analysis, and genre awareness to understand how texts construct meaning. Students write in response to readings to analyze central claims, evidence, and reasoning, as well as reflect on their reading through discussion and analysis.
