You can view and manage your own personal tasks or view tasks that you have assigned to others (if you have the appropriate permission to do so). Click on the Go to Main Screen link on the bottom right of Task Manager.
Your personal tasks appear on the My To-Do List tab and display the following details:
task name
created by
status
priority
due date
Any task that is past due displays the due date in red. High priority tasks are highlighted in yellow.
You can change the display of tasks due by choosing the link to the desired date range (Within 7 days, Within 30 days, All Tasks). The date range that is not a link indicates that it has been identified as the default preference.
You can choose from the options available in the Show drop down list to change the display of tasks.
To change the Status of several tasks:
click on the checkbox next to the task name
choose from one of the options available in the Mark Selected As drop down list
click Go
click Save Changes
The Tasks I Assigned tab are displayed if you have been given the ability to assign tasks to others, and its functionality is the same as the My To-Do List tab.
You can select a default filter for your list of tasks by selecting one of the filter options from the drop down:
Current Tasks - All
Displays all tasks that have not yet been completed
Completed Tasks
Displays all completed tasks
Current Tasks - current context
Displays all context-specific tasks that have not yet been completed
All Tasks
Displays all tasks that have been assigned to you
Click on the
Add
a New Task link from the My To
Do List tab.
Enter the name and description of the task.
Select a Due Date, Status, and Priority for this task.
Click the Save button.
The task will now appear on the My To Do List tab and you may change the Status of the task as appropriate.
Click on the
Assign
a New Task link from the Tasks
I Assigned tab.
Using the Principal Selector Control select the User(s) or ContextRoles to whom this task is assigned.
Enter the name and description of the task.
Select a Due Date and Priority for this task.
Click the Save button.
Click on the
wrench icon from the main Task
Manager screen and select the Preferences
tab.
You can choose from the available options to display tasks that are due within a certain number of days (the default is set to display tasks due within 7 days). You can also choose to display all tasks.
